BIOFACH2020

BIOFACH is the among the most important trade fairs for organic trade and will take place in Nuremberg from 12 - 15 February 2020.

Organic is more than a label or certification: organic stands for quality and conviction – for the responsible use of nature’s resources. BIOFACH in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg is the place where people share their passionate interest in organic food, get to know each other and exchange views, and this since 1990.
It is an opportunity for professionals to meet producers from the organic market and be discover the sector’s latest trends. Enter the world of organic products and taste, too – into organic.

Eduardo Cuoco, from our partners IFOAM EU, will give a presentation titled "the digitalization of the organic food chain: friend or foe?". The internet of things and blockchains could contribute to making the organic production chain more efficient and transparent. But the use of such technologies could also entail important socio-economic consequences and increased corporate control. Can digitalization happen in line with the principles of organic farming?
