Study trips to China for young European farmers

The call for young European farmers to apply for two study trips to China has been published under the joint EU-China Young Farmers Program. The aim of the program is to reinforce cooperation in agriculture & rural development between the EU and People's Republic of China. As such, it is organized in cooperation between the European Commission (DG AGRI & EU Delegation to China) and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China.

The program was announced by EU Farm Commissioner Phil Hogan & Minister of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China Han Changfu in April 2017. The two-week study trips to China will offer the EU-based young farmers under the age of 40 an opportunity to see how their counterparts in China deal with the issues such as crop diversity and climate change, but also how they implement different innovation practices in farming.
