On 9 May 2017, Veneto Agricoltura (the Regional Agency for Agriculture Innovation of Veneto) organized a workshop on precision farming at the experimental farm of Vallevecchia, Italy.
The workshop represented an opportunity to combine and analyze the outcomes of several projects on the topic, some of which were recently concluded and others which are still running. These are the Life Environment and Life Plus projects Agricare, Agricarbon and ClimAgri, as well as the two nationally-funded projects SICERME and STRATEGA. The common objective of all projects is to improve the environmental performance of arable farming through a better use of knowledge, data and technology. In addition, the workshop represented an opportunity to present the Internet of Food & Farm (IoF)2020 project, which received broad interest and attention.
